Title: Finding Freedom [FF.NET Chapter 6] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland (Also: GreecexJapan)
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Alternate Universe/Action
Word Count: 4,192
Summary: Arthur is a guardian angel who feels as if he's at the bottom of the heavenly ladder. Alfred is Freedom Star, a young superhero at the top of his game. When their paths cross, Alfred's life (and Arthur's afterlife), will never be the same.
Chapter Summary: Arthur was English. He was really English. Like, when I thought of a stereotypical English guy, something akin to an older version of Arthur would come to mind. Sure, he had his quirks, but he was definitely… way English.

And he had wings, which were his superpower, so he probably needed something like ‘angel’ or ‘seraphim’ in his name. I stared at him for a moment, trying to muster up something that had a good ring to it.

Ahah, that was it. That sounded awesome, and… I thought it went with Freedom Star pretty well, which was important.

I grinned, staring straight at the throng of reporters. “Britannia Angel. He’s called Britannia Angel.”
Author's Note: Three chapterfic updates in three weeks? ALL RIGHT! Also, a couple of gorgeous fanarts: America and England by [livejournal.com profile] kiirusama and America and England by [livejournal.com profile] luvpixel. Please drop the artists a comment if you can. :D

He had never felt so alive... )

Title: You Can't Take the Sky from Me [FF.NET Chapter Thirty] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland, PolandxLithuania, GermanyxItaly, SpainxRomano, Belarus---->Russia, PrussiaxSwitzerland, GreecexJapan, HungaryxAustria, SwedenxFinland
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Action+Adventure/Alternate Universe
Word Count: 4,519
Summary: Ace pilot America is on a mission for the World Military when a chance encounter with a group of sky-pirates leads him to team up with their captain, England, against a malevolent group that wants to fill the sky with zeppelins. [USxUK- Steampunk AU]
Chapter Summary: The Ukko were always up for a fight, providing that the fight meant something. They were confident in their strength, and deservedly so. They weren’t called the rulers of the northern skies for no reason. They fought with a wide variety of weapons, all of them having perfected their respective arts, and they were hardy and… tough. Living constantly in that weather alone was admirable, England thought.

He would be heading up north to rendezvous with the Ukko, and he planned on leaving later that day. The less time wasted, the better.
Author's Note: An extra long chapter to at least... sort of make up for lack of updates. Sorry, everyone! Fanarts: America and England by [livejournal.com profile] kazlicya, Italy and Romano by DarqueCrystal, America and England by [livejournal.com profile] gloomybunny, America, Switzerland, and Prussia and Switzerland by Chaolover2, Belgium by LiveOak, and Belarus by [livejournal.com profile] revoiment_hika. THANK YOU TO ALL! Please give these artists props if you can!

For me though, being a pirate doesn’t mean that I’m going to sacrifice being a gentleman... )

Title: Cerulean [FF.NET] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: Main: AmericaxEngland. Minor: CanadaxUkraine, SwedenxFinland, DenmarkxNorway, PolandxLithuania, SpainxSouth Italy.

Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Alternate Universe
Word Count: 3,808

Over one summer, they'll fall in love. Over one summer, their lives will change forever.
Chapter Summary: “This is what we call fast food, Alfred,” Arthur explained, reaching in the bag and pulling out two wrapped round objects and two containers of thin yellow food items. “It’s what humans eat when they’re in a hurry or want something that doesn’t cost much. There are loads of fast food restaurants.”

He pointed to a word on the side of the bag. “And this, is McDonald’s.” He slid one of each object over to Alfred. “I got you a quarter pounder with cheese, that’s a hamburger, and a large order of chips. Fries, they call them in America. You eat it all with your hands.”

Eyes large with curiosity, Alfred removed the wrapper from the hamburger, running his fingers across the bun as he did so.
Author's Note: Guh... I fail. So sorry everyone. Hopefully you're still with me!

Nikolas- Norway

And over time they fell deeply in love... )

It was written for the fifth day of [livejournal.com profile] usxuk's Special Relationship Sweethearts week. Today's theme was 'Across the Universes.' It was also written for [livejournal.com profile] binnin, because I promised her an HP au oneshot with a concept like this.

Alfred pulled his wand (oak, dragon heartstring core) out of his robe and pointed it forward, cocking his hand upward just a bit. “Accio Cleansweep.”  )

Title: The Faerie Path [FF.NET Chapter Two] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapter ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Drama/Alternate Universe/Fantasy
Word Count: 4,844
Summary: Sir Alfred of Earncynn never believed his mother's tales of magic and the faerie folk, until he came face to face with their world upon encountering Arthur Kirkland, a prisoner of the fae. Based loosely on The Ballad of Tam Lin.
Chapter Summary: Arthur stepped forward, closing the distance between the two of them. His gaze was desperate, imploring. "I don't know who you are seeing or what you are seeing, but I swear to all Alfred," his voice caught, and then it wavered as he spoke the next part, "if you leave, you will…" the dark of the night could not hide the tears forming at the corner of his eyes, "you will die."
Author's Note: Right now I'm working on finishing up updates of You Can't Take the Sky from Me and Cerulean. I honestly would have finished Cerulean tonight if not for a massive headache. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it by the weekend. Meanwhile, I've revised another chapter of this fic for posting. Here it is!

You're not dreaming, Alfred. I'm really here... )

“One, two---“

“Hey Arthur?”

What?”

“Has anyone ever told you that you’d make an awesome superhero?”

A huff. “Three.”
Author's Note: Trying to get back on track with updating my big three fics.

Title: The Faerie Path [FF.NET]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Drama/Alternate Universe/Fantasy
Word Count: 5,561
Summary: Sir Alfred of Earncynn never believed his mother's tales of magic and the faerie folk, until he came face to face with their world upon encountering Arthur Kirkland, a prisoner of the fae. Based loosely on The Ballad of Tam Lin.
Author's Note: De-anon from the kink meme. This will be four chapters long. It is based loosely on The Ballad of Tam Lin. There are... a lot of changes, both to fill it out storywise and so I could try to keep it IC and true to the characters. Hopefully it still retains the spirit of the original. I might do some notes on the faerie lore I've included in this story, but although some things are of my own invention, much (most, really) is based on fae folklore and legends of the British Isles.

Right idiotic you all are, following a pixie-light like that. )

Title: It Was Here that the Romance of My Life Began [FF.NET LINK]
Pairing/Character(s): EnglandxAmerica
Rating: PG
Genre: Romance
Word Count: 6,064
Summary: England had learned on this trip, or rather learned again, that America, for such a young nation, had loads and loads of history to be proud of and cherish. He’d shared so much of it with him on this vacation; each day a new story, new memories created and old memories unearthed.
Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] sakuratsukikage at [livejournal.com profile] hetaliasunshine... months ago, but for some reason I forgot to post it here. The story was originally posted here. There are footnotes at the end of the fic. All the ‘quotes’ that separate the sections are from Theodore Roosevelt (as is the title!). There's also a lovely piece of fanart done by [livejournal.com profile] abarero for the story. You can see it HERE.

“Teddy once called this place a grim fairyland,” America noted, and his tone was cheeky. “Don’t know about any fairies, although I guess if there were any…” )

Note: For [livejournal.com profile] abarero at [livejournal.com profile] giripan_xmas. She wanted something based on a bit of kitsune lore, but with Greece and Japan. I'm not going to list the whole prompt here, because it will spoil the story.

Chapter Summary: Did he really want things to be normal again?

Did he want to return to the military, and have to follow every order dutifully, for fear of them suspecting him of criminal activities again? Did he want to never be able to question them again, because surely even if the judge decreed him not guilty, they’d still keep an extra close watch on him?
Author's Note: A few fanarts! America, England, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania by Akira-chan01, AmericaxEngland by Creepynurse, America and Switzerland, both by Chao-lover2. Thank you so much! ♥

Title: Finding Freedom [FF.NET Chapter 4] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland (Also: GreecexJapan)
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Alternate Universe/Action
Word Count: 4,650
Summary: Arthur is a guardian angel who feels as if he's at the bottom of the heavenly ladder. Alfred is Freedom Star, a young superhero at the top of his game. When their paths cross, Alfred's life (and Arthur's afterlife), will never be the same.
Chapter Summary: But after he’d taken a lengthy shower, he took me down to his base and we watched a film together on his… rather massive screen. I’d never actually been in a movie theater before, or even seen a film from start to finish, but considering how huge his screen was, I imagined that I was having a similar experience. He made popcorn and carried his couch down into the base (with one hand, bloody showoff), and showed me a film that I could best describe as a… rollicking fantasy adventure, and with a rather prominent love story at that.

It’s not precisely what I would have expected from him, but when I mentioned that to him he turned away, his cheeks flushing pink and mumbled something about how “you told me before that you liked to write stuff like this so…”
Author's Note: I said five chapters, but it looks like it's going to be a bit longer than that. Sorry for the delay. :)

Alfred exhaled deeply, sliding his eyes closed and trying to calm his heartbeat. He was a hero. He could handle something as simple as Arthur undressing a mere foot or two behind him... )

Title: Cerulean [FF.NET] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: Main: AmericaxEngland. Minor: CanadaxUkraine, SwedenxFinland, DenmarkxNorway, PolandxLithuania, SpainxSouth Italy.

Over one summer, they'll fall in love. Over one summer, their lives will change forever.
Chapter Summary: “…He’s not entirely human. Half human, rather. I… suppose that would be the best way to describe it. And that’s why I asked you about the sight and all. Because… well I HAVE seen something out of the ordinary. In fact, I’m dating it and…” He smacked his forehead. “Oh Christ, I’m babbling, aren’t I? Better to do that than stop and hear you pronounce me nutters but… yes, it appears this Chime Child thing has returned because I am…”

“…Arthur?”

“Dating a merman.”
Author's Note: I don't really have any excuse for lack of updates recently outside of epic writer's block. Hopefully I'm over it now. I have received four beautiful fanarts since my last update! ArthurxAlfred (with seals!) by [livejournal.com profile] abarero, ArthurxAlfred by [livejournal.com profile] colevic, ArthurxAlfred by Chao-lover2, and Alfred by [livejournal.com profile] lumossolarum. Hey everyone. I was just doing some cleanup here, and I realized that I haven't posted about affiliations here.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO AFFILIATE/LINK EXCHANGE WITH THIS WRITING JOURNAL, PLEASE COMMENT HERE!

Just pop a link to [livejournal.com profile] cosmic_dare into your userinfo or affiliates post or wherever, and I'll link you in my userinfo.

I did remove some old affiliates, but those were just:
1- People who did not have me actually linked anywhere as an affiliate.
2- People who had not updated in over two years.

If I removed you for either of these reasons and you want to be added back, please let me know (although in the case of number one, you'll need to actually add a link XD).

I'll also affiliate with art journals! ♥

Pairing: AmericaxEngland, PolandxLithuania, GermanyxItaly, SpainxRomano, Belarus---->Russia, PrussiaxSwitzerland, GreecexJapan, HungaryxAustria. Future pairings: SwedenxFinland
Rating: PG-13

Summary: Ace pilot America is on a mission for the World Military when a chance encounter with a group of sky-pirates leads him to team up with their captain, England, against a malevolent group that wants to fill the sky with zeppelins. [USxUK- Steampunk AU]
Chapter Summary: He thought, in the light, that it was even more apparent that the man had been crying. England could see poorly concealed tear tracks on his cheeks. His chest tightened. What had made him cry?

And he felt anger well up within him also. If someone had hurt America to the point that he was acting like this, Captain Kirkland very much wanted to give them a visit.
Author's Note: I've been sick and vacationing, and thus I've only been able to get exchange fics done for the last month or so for the most part. Hope to get on a better update schedule for ALL my chapter fics now. A couple of fanarts: Prussia, Belarus, and America by Chao-Lover2, and Skeleton Fleet of the Sky and England, both by Sallydawn!

Guess being a hero just gets you in trouble, huh? )
