Title: Finding Freedom [FF.NET Chapter 6] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland (Also: GreecexJapan)
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Alternate Universe/Action
Word Count: 4,192
Summary: Arthur is a guardian angel who feels as if he's at the bottom of the heavenly ladder. Alfred is Freedom Star, a young superhero at the top of his game. When their paths cross, Alfred's life (and Arthur's afterlife), will never be the same.
Chapter Summary: Arthur was English. He was really English. Like, when I thought of a stereotypical English guy, something akin to an older version of Arthur would come to mind. Sure, he had his quirks, but he was definitely… way English.

And he had wings, which were his superpower, so he probably needed something like ‘angel’ or ‘seraphim’ in his name. I stared at him for a moment, trying to muster up something that had a good ring to it.

Ahah, that was it. That sounded awesome, and… I thought it went with Freedom Star pretty well, which was important.

I grinned, staring straight at the throng of reporters. “Britannia Angel. He’s called Britannia Angel.”
Author's Note: Three chapterfic updates in three weeks? ALL RIGHT! Also, a couple of gorgeous fanarts: America and England by [livejournal.com profile] kiirusama and America and England by [livejournal.com profile] luvpixel. Please drop the artists a comment if you can. :D

He had never felt so alive... )

Chapter Summary: Alfred shook his head in the affirmative. “Ready, Pilot.”

“One, two---“

“Hey Arthur?”

What?”

“Has anyone ever told you that you’d make an awesome superhero?”

A huff. “Three.”
Author's Note: Trying to get back on track with updating my big three fics.

I’ve met dead people with better self-preservation than you... )

Title: Finding Freedom [FF.NET Chapter 4] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland (Also: GreecexJapan)
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Alternate Universe/Action
Word Count: 4,650
Summary: Arthur is a guardian angel who feels as if he's at the bottom of the heavenly ladder. Alfred is Freedom Star, a young superhero at the top of his game. When their paths cross, Alfred's life (and Arthur's afterlife), will never be the same.
Chapter Summary: But after he’d taken a lengthy shower, he took me down to his base and we watched a film together on his… rather massive screen. I’d never actually been in a movie theater before, or even seen a film from start to finish, but considering how huge his screen was, I imagined that I was having a similar experience. He made popcorn and carried his couch down into the base (with one hand, bloody showoff), and showed me a film that I could best describe as a… rollicking fantasy adventure, and with a rather prominent love story at that.

It’s not precisely what I would have expected from him, but when I mentioned that to him he turned away, his cheeks flushing pink and mumbled something about how “you told me before that you liked to write stuff like this so…”
Author's Note: I said five chapters, but it looks like it's going to be a bit longer than that. Sorry for the delay. :)

Alfred exhaled deeply, sliding his eyes closed and trying to calm his heartbeat. He was a hero. He could handle something as simple as Arthur undressing a mere foot or two behind him... )

Title: Finding Freedom [FF.NET Chapter 3] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland (Also: GreecexJapan)
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Alternate Universe/Action
Word Count: 3,512
Summary: Arthur is a guardian angel who feels as if he's at the bottom of the heavenly ladder. Alfred is Freedom Star, a young superhero at the top of his game. When their paths cross, Alfred's life (and Arthur's afterlife), will never be the same.
Chapter Summary: I’d seen superheroes with the power of flight before, or with flight rings or whatever. But there was a difference between that and… wings. This wasn’t a superpower, but instead something a lot more… magical.
Author's Note: This is the second half. The first half is posted here. As always, feedback and comments are very much appreciated. For those wanting to see some good stuff between America and England, this is where it really starts. :)

Okay, I guess he’d never had pizza before he died. Now that was tragic... )

Title: Finding Freedom [FF.NET Chapter 2] [ Writing Journal Previous Chapters ]
Pairing: AmericaxEngland (Also: GreecexJapan, brief mention of past JapanxNetherlands)
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Humor/Drama/Alternate Universe/Action
Word Count: 4,709
Summary: Arthur is a guardian angel who feels as if he's at the bottom of the heavenly ladder. Alfred is Freedom Star, a young superhero at the top of his game. When their paths cross, Alfred's life (and Arthur's afterlife), will never be the same.
Chapter Summary: Plus, Alfred considered, he had an angel staying at his house. A bonafide guy from heaven with wings and a halo and stuff! It was worth a little bit of trouble for that. And besides, a hero like him could hardly allow Arthur to stay on the streets alone or whatever.
Author's Note: Oh boy. Basically, this chapter ended up MONSTER LONG. With coding, I was pretty sure it would break the character limit, so I decided to split it into two. I will post the second half within the next day or two. It's finished. I just... want to do some last minute editing on it. Also, I have received two gorgeous fanarts for this story! America and England by SobaFanaticofDOOm and America and England by [livejournal.com profile] socialholic.

Human Names:
Bruce- Australia
Andre- Netherlands

Rose and the Coopers are OCs. :)

Is that what you call that infernal thing with the buttons in there? Whirlpool indeed. I have no idea how to work it! )

Author's Note: This is being written for [livejournal.com profile] aph_fluffathon! Originally it was supposed to be a lengthy oneshot, but it got away from me a bit so it ended up longer. But [livejournal.com profile] aph_fluffathon ends in August, so that's the deadline for finishing this. A new chapter of Cerulean should be posted early next week, then a new You Can't Take the Sky from Me. Quick Edit: I've gotten a lot of questions about Hero Frequency. I still love this story a lot, and I can promise that, barring some unforeseen disaster, it will be finished this summer. I have a pretty detailed fic schedule written out for the summer, and it's a priority on it. But in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this story!

Human Names:
Angéline- Belgium

Rose is an OC. Aqua Prism is... well it should be obvious. ;)

As you can see, these are attached. It’s not a costume! I’m an angel... )
